Clinical Supervision
Supervision provides a structured professional relationship which supports the supervisee to explore their professional development, work through challenges experienced with clients, build self awareness and offer support to the supervisee in their learning, to achieve better outcomes for their clients.
My approach as a Clinical Supervisor is to use an integrated developmental model of supervision that supports supervisee's with intervention, conceptualisation and personalisation to support the development of skills and growth as a Therapist. Sessions are tailored around the supervisee's level of training and experience to meet the needs of the supervisee and ensure ethical standards of practice are maintained.
Clinical Supervision is available individually or as part of an online group session with a maximum of 4 participants. For further information please submit your enquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a counsellor/psychotherapist and a psychologist?
A psychologist is trained to observe behaviour, apply specific therapies and diagnose mental illness.
A counsellor/psychotherapist will use modalities to focus on deeper issues to help process trauma, grief, depression, personality structuring or developing greater insight of your “self.
Can I claim the medicare rebate on my mental health plan?
No. Sessions with me are not covered by Medicare. However, your out of pocket expenses will be less than under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Will sessions cost more than with a psychologist under a mental health plan from a GP?
No. Most psychologists charge more than $250 per session and you will get approximately $90 back from Medicare, leaving you $160 out of pocket. Sessions with Christine cost less than that.
What can I expect in my first session?
The first session is about getting to know each other. It is an opportunity for you to express your concerns or current presenting issues. It is also an opportunity to ask me whatever you need and to discuss any goals you may have.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellation or change of appointment. This is so that I can allocate someone else to your appointment time.Â
Please call to cancel your appointment or you will be billed the full fee.
If you are late for your session there will be no extra time allocated for you as other clients will be booked in so please ensure you leave ample time to attend at your appointed time. Fees can not be discounted for late arrivals.
What types of sessions do you offer?
My practice rooms are located in Brookvale and Balmain. I also offer zoom sessions as I understand it is not always easy for people to attend in person.
